Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians: Mumbai Indians chased down a mammoth 215 to win the game in Mohali on Wednesday. In what seemed like an improbable chase, Mumbai had their backs against the wall after skipper Rohit Sharma fell for a duck. But Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan hit brilliant fifties before Tilak Varma and Tim David’s late cameos took Mumbai over the finishing line. They won the game by six wickets.
Earlier, Punjab lost early wickets but skipper Shikhar Dhawan batted with intent before being outfoxed by Chawla. However, that turned out to be a blessing in disguise for Punjab as Jitesh Sharma walked out. Along with Liam Livingstone he smashed Mumbai bowlers all over the park. Jofra Archer too was not spared. Both of them stayed unbeaten and stitched together a stand of 119 off 53 balls as Livingstone scored 82 off 42 balls and Jitesh Sharma ended with 49 off 27 balls to take Punjab to a mammoth total of 214.
